আন্তর্জাতিক ওয়ান হেলথ প্রতিযোগিতায় বাংলাদেশের গৌরবময় সাফল্য SEAOHUN 2026 Regional Student Competition-এ বিজয়ী “OneHealthVillage” টিমে নেতৃত্বে OHYAB-এর Event Management Coordinator

আন্তর্জাতিক ওয়ান হেলথ প্ল্যাটফর্ম SEAOHUN আয়োজিত “SEAOHUN 2026 Regional Student Competition: One Health Campus-to-Community (OH-C2C) Challenge”-এ বাংলাদেশ থেকে বিজয়ী দল হিসেবে নির্বাচিত হয়েছে “OneHealthVillage” টিম। দলটির নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছেন Md. Simoon Hasan, যিনি One Health Youth Alliance Bangladesh (OHYAB)-এর Event Management Coordinator (EMC) হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করছেন।

এই আন্তর্জাতিক প্রতিযোগিতা মানব, প্রাণী ও পরিবেশগত স্বাস্থ্যকে সমন্বিত করে কমিউনিটি-ভিত্তিক টেকসই সমাধান তৈরির লক্ষ্যে আয়োজন করা হয়। প্রতিযোগিতাটি Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations-এর কারিগরি সহযোগিতা এবং Chevron-এর অর্থায়নে পরিচালিত হয়। দক্ষিণ-পূর্ব এশিয়া, ভারত ও বাংলাদেশের বিভিন্ন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অংশগ্রহণকারী দলগুলোর মধ্য থেকে মাত্র ৯টি দল চূড়ান্তভাবে নির্বাচিত হয়।। নির্বাচিত প্রতিটি দলকে সর্বোচ্চ ২০০০ মার্কিন ডলার পর্যন্ত ফান্ডিং, আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ের মেন্টরশিপ এবং আঞ্চলিক জ্ঞান-বিনিময় প্ল্যাটফর্মে অংশগ্রহণের সুযোগ প্রদান করা হবে।

বাংলাদেশের বিজয়ী “OneHealthVillage” প্রকল্পের শিরোনাম —
“OneHealthVillage: A Community-Led Interactive One Health Education Initiative in Rahamatpur & Madhabpasha, Babugang Upazila, Barishal”

প্রকল্পটির মাধ্যমে বরিশালের বাবুগঞ্জ উপজেলার রহমতপুর ও মাধবপাশা ইউনিয়নে জুনোটিক রোগ, অ্যান্টিমাইক্রোবিয়াল রেজিস্ট্যান্স (AMR), পরিবেশগত স্বাস্থ্য এবং ওয়ান হেলথ সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধিতে কমিউনিটি-ভিত্তিক কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করা হবে। উঠান বৈঠকভিত্তিক ইন্টার‌্যাকটিভ শিক্ষা কার্যক্রম, স্থানীয় One Health Leader তৈরি, সচেতনতামূলক ভিডিও এবং কমিউনিটি এনগেজমেন্টের মাধ্যমে প্রকল্পটি বাস্তবায়িত হবে।

এ বিষয়ে Md. Simoon Hasan বলেন,

“সর্বপ্রথম মহান আল্লাহর কাছে শুকরিয়া আদায় করছি। আমি আমাদের সম্মানিত সুপারভাইজার Dr. Farzana Islam Rume ম্যামের প্রতি আন্তরিক কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করছি। একইসাথে আমার প্রতিটি টিম মেম্বারকে অভিনন্দন জানাই তাদের অসাধারণ পরিশ্রম, আন্তরিকতা ও টিমওয়ার্কের জন্য। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় জীবনের শুরু থেকেই আমি AMR ও One Health কার্যক্রমের সঙ্গে সক্রিয়ভাবে যুক্ত ছিলাম এবং OHYAB-এর কার্যক্রম আমাকে নেতৃত্ব ও কমিউনিটি-ভিত্তিক কাজের অভিজ্ঞতা অর্জনে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রেখেছে। আমরা চাই এই উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে বাংলাদেশের প্রতিনিধিত্ব আরও শক্তিশালী করতে। সকলের কাছে দোয়া চাই, যেন আমরা দেশের জন্য আরও বড় পরিসরে কাজ করতে পারি।”

“One Health Youth Alliance Bangladesh (OHYAB) পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে Md. Simoon Hasan এবং “OneHealthVillage” টিমকে আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন ও শুভকামনা জানানো হয়েছে। সংগঠনটি আশা প্রকাশ করেছে যে, এই অর্জন বাংলাদেশের তরুণদের ওয়ান হেলথ, অ্যান্টিমাইক্রোবিয়াল রেজিস্ট্যান্স (AMR) এবং কমিউনিটি নেতৃত্বভিত্তিক উদ্যোগে আরও অনুপ্রাণিত করবে এবং আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে বাংলাদেশের প্রতিনিধিত্বকে আরও শক্তিশালী করবে।”

The Bangladesh team “OneHealthVillage” has been selected as one of the winning teams of the SEAOHUN 2026 Regional Student Competition: One Health Campus-to-Community (OH-C2C) Challenge. The team is led by Md. Simoon Hasan, who serves as the Event Management Coordinator (EMC) of One Health Youth Alliance Bangladesh (OHYAB).

The competition was organized with technical partnership from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and funding support from Chevron. Only nine teams from Southeast Asia, India, and Bangladesh were selected for the final award. Each winning team will receive funding support of up to USD 2,000 along with international mentorship and participation opportunities in regional knowledge-sharing activities.

The winning Bangladeshi project is titled:
“OneHealthVillage: A Community-Led Interactive One Health Education Initiative in Rahamatpur & Madhabpasha, Babugang Upazila, Barishal.”

The project aims to promote community-based awareness and behavioral change regarding zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), environmental health, and One Health practices in Rahamatpur and Madhabpasha unions of Babuganj Upazila, Barishal. The initiative includes interactive courtyard-based community education sessions, local One Health leader development, awareness videos, and community engagement activities.

Expressing his feelings, Md. Simoon Hasan said,
 

“First of all, I thank Almighty Allah for this achievement. I am deeply grateful to our respected supervisor Dr. Farzana Islam Rume for her continuous guidance and support. I also congratulate all of my team members for their dedication, hard work, and teamwork. Since the beginning of my university life, I have actively participated in AMR and One Health activities, and OHYAB has played a significant role in developing my leadership and community engagement experience. We hope to represent Bangladesh more strongly on the international stage through this initiative. We request everyone to pray for us so that we can continue working for our country with greater impact.”

The One Health Youth Alliance Bangladesh (OHYAB) family has extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Md. Simoon Hasan and the “OneHealthVillage” team. The organization expressed hope that this achievement will inspire more Bangladeshi youth to engage in One Health, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and community leadership initiatives while strengthening Bangladesh’s representation on the global stage.
