🌿 Introducing One Health Youth Alliance Bangladesh — OHYAB

The health of people, animals, and the environment is inseparably connected. Guided by this principle, One Health Youth Alliance Bangladesh (OHYAB) is working to strengthen youth leadership in the One Health movement across Bangladesh.

OHYAB is a youth-led, non-profit, non-governmental organization that connects students and early-career professionals from medicine, veterinary medicine, environmental science, public health, agriculture, and other related disciplines.

Our mission is to build a generation of skilled, ethical, and informed youth leaders who can contribute to One Health through research, policy engagement, advocacy, and field-based action. Beyond academic discussion, OHYAB focuses on community awareness, farmer engagement, and the promotion of sustainable and responsible farming practices.

Our core areas of work include:
• Antimicrobial Resistance
• Zoonotic Disease Prevention
• Food Safety and Security
• Climate-Linked Health Threats

Our activities include:
• Capacity-building workshops and mentorship
• National One Health Youth Symposium Bangladesh
• Policy advocacy and public campaigns
• Youth-led research and innovation
• Community outreach and grassroots engagement

Our vision is to contribute to a healthier and more sustainable Bangladesh, where young leaders work across disciplines to address complex health challenges and position Bangladesh as a model of One Health excellence.
