SciSkill Joins One Health Youth Alliance Bangladesh (OHYAB) as an Independent Affiliate Body
09 July 2026
The One Health Youth Alliance Bangladesh (OHYAB) is pleased to announce that SciSkill, a non-profit platform dedicated to research training and professional skill development, has joined OHYAB as an independent affiliate body. The partnership brings together two youth-driven organizations working toward a shared goal: helping young people in Bangladesh build the skills and knowledge they need to lead in science, research, and public health.
This new affiliation marks an important step for both organizations. While SciSkill will continue to operate independently, guided by its own leadership and mission, it now stands alongside OHYAB as part of a wider network committed to empowering Bangladesh's youth through education, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
About OHYAB
OHYAB is an independent, multidisciplinary youth network dedicated to advancing the One Health approach among young people in Bangladesh. Bringing together students and early-career professionals from human medicine, veterinary medicine, environmental science, public health, and related fields, OHYAB works to address pressing challenges such as antimicrobial resistance, zoonotic diseases, food safety, and climate-linked health threats — all through the lens of youth leadership and cross-sector collaboration.
About SciSkill
SciSkill is a non-profit learning, knowledge exchange, research, and professional skill development platform built to empower students, young researchers, and early-career professionals. Since its founding, SciSkill has organized certificate courses, webinars, and workshops covering research methodology, scientific writing, academic publication, and professional development — reaching participants both nationally and internationally. Its mission is to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical research competencies, particularly for those in the life sciences and allied disciplines.
A Shared Vision
This affiliation is built on a belief both organizations hold in common: that meaningful progress in science and public health begins with investing in the people who will shape its future. For OHYAB, welcoming SciSkill means offering its members deeper access to research training and mentorship, while preserving the practical, youth-centered spirit that has defined OHYAB from the start. For SciSkill, joining OHYAB means becoming part of a larger movement, one where research capacity and One Health advocacy can grow together rather than apart. Both organizations view this not as a merging of identities, but as an alignment of purpose, two distinct platforms choosing to work toward the same future for Bangladesh's young scientists and health professionals.
Through this affiliation, members of both organizations will gain access to a broader range of training opportunities, research mentorship, and collaborative programs, strengthening the overall ecosystem of youth-led science and health initiatives in Bangladesh.
OHYAB and SciSkill look forward to working together in the months ahead, including potential joint workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and combined participation in upcoming OHYAB events such as the 3rd One Health Youth Symposium in Bangladesh (OHYSB 2026).
